Just ten years after the Pilgrims made their grim landing on the shores of
what came to be called New England, my ancestors settled in America as
well. My family has the blood of military men, lawyers and doctors running through
our veins. We also are the descendants of strong farmers, day laborers and 
peasants.

This family tree is not only to celebrate the diversity in our family but also 
serves serve as a resource for anyone trying to puzzle out their own family's
history. I am trying to make a comprehensive site that names not only direct 
descendants and their families, but those indirect descendants as well. 
Changes may happen as I try and update names, birthdates, and even untangle 
the confusing web of similarly named siblings and children. 

As such, please consider any information not yet cited with a reference
to be unverified facts, even if said information is true. (For example, I know 
I exist, but I may not have cited my birth certificate or census 
information to prove that I am who I say I am. Therefore, on the tree, I would be 
unverified information.) I will try and mark when members of the family tree have
information that is in flux. Also, please let me know if you have facts that will
